Home Visiting Program Expanding to Serve Our Most Vulnerable Families
YWCA of Hawai‘i Island is the recipient of $1,102,000 in Federal funding to expand our Home Visiting program for new families! The funding will allow us to broaden the qualification criteria so we can provide early intervention support for even the most vulnerable families in Hawaii County. We’re currently hiring staff and specialists interested in healing trauma caused by adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) among new parents, as well as offering support services to enable these families to provide an ACE-free childhood to their children. Mahalo Senators Brian Schatz and Maizie Hirono for your work in securing this appropriation!
